Fictionaire is simple – players make up a bogus definition or fake answer for a word or question asked by the game’s host – trying to trick him or her into believing that their answer is correct. To earn points in Fictionaire, players either have to choose the right definition – or get someone to pick their answer. Even better, if a player bluffs someone into choosing the wrong answer, they earn a bonus point.

Fictionaire is a fun mix of creative storytelling, trivia knowledge and bluffing skills. The Fictionaire Game Series includes 4 differently themed card packs – Classic Fictionaire, Tall Tales, Fool Science and Naturals -  each with 120 questions. This week (August 19) marks the 68th Anniversary of the raid at Dieppe – the failed attempt by the Allies to retake the German-occupied port of Dieppe on the northern coast of France in WWII. Memoir ’44 fans can commemorate that battle with our latest Battle Map  “Disaster at Dieppe”, which is now available at retail stores and from the Days of Wonder webstore. For the first time, this Battle Map includes two new units: the Long-Range Patrol Cars (Jeeps) and the Half-Tracks.

And don’t forget that if you missed out on the original print runs of the first two Small World expansions, both  Grand Dames of Small World and Cursed! are now in stores in the US (along with the new Tales & Legends expansion) and will appear in European game stores shortly.

While the world may be getting smaller, the features for Small World for iPad players continue to expand. Today we are announcing the availability of the first two expansions, Cursed! and Grand Dames of Small World for Small World for iPad version 1.1. Both expansions can be added as in-app purchases.

Put a Curse on your (Small) World

The Cursed! expansion adds 2 new races (Kobolds and Goblins) and 5 new special powers (Cursed, Hordes of, Marauding, Ransacking and Were-) to your games.

Add a Feminine touch to the (Small) World

Grand Dames of Small World adds 3 new races (Gypsies, Priestesses and the ghostly White Ladies) and 2 new special powers (Historian and Peace-loving) to your games.

To add either expansion, simply update Small World for iPad from the App store. Once you launch the game you can then purchase them directly from within the application. The price for each expansion is only $1.99/€1.59.

the Disaster at Dieppe expansion features 2 large-scale ready-to-play Overlord Scenarios, 4 Standard Scenarios, 6 half-tracks miniatures and 6 Jeeps miniatures.

Disaster at Dieppe highlights the ill-fated raid on the German-occupied coastal town of Dieppe, code-named, Operation Jubilee; while The capture of Tobruk features Rommel in June of ’42 as he relentlessly pushes his Afrika Korps after smashing through the British lines at Gazala in North Africa.

The Battle Map series is designed to encourage team play and accommodates up to 8 players; each map comes ready-to-play with all terrain, obstacles and unit positions pre-printed, making set-up a snap. Battle Map Volume 4 includes 6 half-tracks miniatures, 6 jeeps miniatures and 4 standard scenarios that are playable on a regular Memoir ’44 board. The 4 Standard scenarios are: Raid on Barce and Rommel’s Right Hook, featuring the new Willys jeeps as long-range patrol cars; and Panzers in the Atlas and Le-Mesnil-Adelée, featuring the new Sd.Kfz. 250 half-tracks. Also included are detailed rules for the long-range patrol cars and half-tracks.

Memoir ’44 Battle Map Volume 4 requires one copy of Memoir ’44 and the Operation Overlord expansion, or two full copies of Memoir ’44. Purists wishing to use all figures of the proper color in the Overlord scenarios will also need two copies of the Mediterranean Theater expansion. It is expected to be available in September in both North America and Europe. Retail price is $18/€16.
